Why not open-source the old Macromedia Devnet Resource kits?

DevNet has been dead for awhile, but why hasn’t Macromedia/Adobe decided to release the old DevNet Resource Kits (at least the items that were owned by Macromedia) as open-source? If you aren’t going to sell it anymore, don’t bury it.

Flash Player 8.5 Alpha 3 Available

Everyone has been blogging about Flex 2 Beta 1 being released, but Adobe has also released the new alpha for Flash Player 8.5 as a separate download. Alpha 3 is available for Windows (ActiveX and plugin) and Mac OSX. The uninstallers are also on the same page.

Macromedia Studio 8 on Monday too?

Its no secret anymore than everyone is expecting Macromedia to announced Flash 8 on Monday (8/8). But will they release Studio8 as well? I have seen a few blog posts about it, but ran across this article on CIO website tonight.
